Many lives have been saved and families forever changed thanks in part to the generous support of our donors.
“A dedicated and compassionate caregiver at St. Joseph Hospital for decades, Melvin Schwartz and his wife demonstrated their friendship and support for the Hospital by establishing a legacy through a generous charitable planned gift.”

Planned giving donor David Zoraster
Burbank resident David Zoraster, Member Appraisal Institute (MAI), has been a local commercial real estate appraiser for almost 40 years. He’s an expert in litigation and arbitration and
an experienced expert witness who’s handled high-profile and routine cases. Reflecting on his success, he decided the time was right to give back.
The owner of several properties, David gifted his Chinatown condo to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. “It was an easy decision to make this planned gift,” he says. “Providence Saint Joseph has a great reputation. It’s always good to support
your local hospital. You’re probably going to need care someday.”
David directed his gift to support the emergency department. “I had an opportunity to tour the new ED, and I was very impressed,” he shares.
Michael Andrulis, director, estate and gift planning, Providence Saint Joseph Foundation, is grateful for David’s generosity. “We’re thrilled David made a gift to support our emergency
department’s lifesaving work,” he says. “Planned giving donors like David are investing in the health and well-being of our community, often in ways that do not impact their lifestyle or
monthly income.”
