John currently serves on the boards and councils of many charitable organizations. He’s also past president or chair person of the Association of Real Estate Attorneys, Southwestern University Board of Trustees, the Burbank Chamber of Commerce Development Committee, and the Burbank Bar Association.
He and his wife, Dr. Marsha Gerro—a pediatrician—have been on staff at Saint Joseph for forty years. They have two sons.
What motivates your desire to give back?
I am motivated to give back as we are very fortunate to have a great medical center in our community that has assisted many residents over the years, including myself.
Why are you supporting the medical center?
We support the hospital to assure its continued assistance to all in need, given the hard financial challenges that hospitals are experiencing.
Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
Serving on the board is one way to contribute, in addition to financially, to assist with the continued operation of the hospital.
