What motivates your desire to give back?
“For it is in giving that we receive” is the most profound statement as to why I do what I do. The spiritual and emotional gifts I receive are tenfold.
Why are you supporting the medical center?
“Poor and vulnerable” does not only impact those living in slums but those who are sick and afraid. Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center provides that level of care both medically and professionally.
Why did you agree to join the foundation board?
My friend Peter Lynch thought I would be beneficial to the hospital, given my background of work in Haiti. Now, after volunteering at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, I believe it is an institution that radiates our Catholic beliefs through its vision for today and for the future. Although I was not affiliated with the hospital, my friend Peter Lynch thought my work among the poor would make me a good candidate for our board.
